2022 AHSI Queen Contest

Queen Contest Eligibility Requirements

1. Must be a paid member of AHSI by April 1st, 2022
2. Interested candidates will need to complete the entry application by April 15th.

3. Each entered candidate must submit an essay on "My First Contact With an Arabian Horse) prior to May 1st, 2022.
   Essays should be in a word doc or pdf format and emailed to arabianhorsesocietyofiowa@gmail.com .

Age Categories

• Junior Queen: 10 - 15 years old as of January 1, 2022.
• Senior Queen: 16 - 26 years old as of January 1, 2022.

If selected as ASHI Queen in either division:

1. Queens must supply AHSI with a quality picture for publicity purposes (including but not limited to the AHSI newsletter and AHSI social media)
2. Represent at the Iowa State Fair Queen Contest riding a purebred/partbred Arabian.
3. Queens are responsible for submitting Iowa State Fair entry forms and fees prior to deadline.
4. Ride as AHSI Queen in parades etc., when possible.
5. Attend meetings when possible and help with club events.
